Mifflin Fireman's Fair
Friday, August 22nd and Saturday August 23rd The Mifflin Fireman's Fair will be held at the Mifflin Fairgrounds on Route 997. Friday night Chris Woodward will be performing. The fair starts at 4:00 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Saturday there will be a Car & Antique Tractor Show at 10:00 a.m. a Chicken BBQ at 11:00 a.m. and The Cornerstone Quartet will be playing at 7:00 p.m. This fair benefits Upper & Lower Mifflin Athletic Club, Upper Frankford Vol. Fire Company, Hopewell Vol. Fire Company, West Pennsboro Vol. Fire Company, South Newton Vol. Fire Company, and Friendship Hose Vol. Fire Company. Come join us for great entertainment and great food!
Path Valley Parade
Thursday, August 14th the Upper Frankford Fire Company took Engine 248 to the Path Valley Picnic and Parade in Hammond's Grove. This was the 107th year for this event, and was sponsored by the Fannett-Metal Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company. Engine 248 participated in the parade and placed 2nd in the category of Best Appearing Engine Tanker.
Upper Frankford Fire Company Car Show
Saturday, July 19th The Upper Frankford Fire Company is holding their annual car show. Registration is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Trophies will be awarded at 3:00 p.m. If you have any questions please contact the firehouse at 717.776.7849.
Annual Fireman's Fair
Thursday, July 17th through Saturday, July 19th The Upper Frankford Fire Company will be having their Annual Fireman's Fair, held at Upper Frankford Fire Company: 4080 Enola Road, Newville PA. Food will be served starting at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17th the band Buck & Chet will be playing from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 18th Chris Woodward will be playing from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19th Laredo will be playing from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. There is also a kiddie land for the children with games and prizes. Auto Accident Bloserville Road
Saturday, July 5th at 2:56 p.m. Engine 148 was dispatched to the 100 block of Bloserville Road for a single vehicle auto accident. When crews arrived they stabilized the vehicle and prepared the driver for transport. Engine 148 was placed available at 4:13 p.m.
2014 Super Raffle Results
Super Raffle results have been posted to the super raffle page. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you for all your support. Winners will also be notified by mail.
Saturday, June 28th at the Eagle's Picnic Grounds in Carlisle, Upper Frankford Fire Company "48", and Friendship Hose Fire Company "47" will be holding their annual Super Raffle. Starting at 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. come and get all you can eat food and beverages. There will be 63 guns, 7 cross bows, 5 4-wheelers, and 9 cash prizes. THERE MAY BE A LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR!
Card Shower for David "Buck" Jumper
The Upper Frankford Fire Company is organizing a card shower for our Company Apparatus Engineer and brother firefighter David "Buck" Jumper, who is currently being treated for a severe infection. Those wanting to send Buck a card or note, please send it to: David Jumper 3898 Enola Road, Newville, PA 17241. We're sure that he would greatly appreciate it and be very surprised to receive your words of encouragement, and get well wishes, and support for a speedy recovery. Thank you.
West Pennsboro's Annual Fair
Thursday June 12, Friday June 13, and Saturday June 14 West Pennsboro Fire Company "46" will be having their annual fair and festival. The fair starts at 4 p.m. nightly and features: live bands, homemade food, free parking, and free admission. The band starts at 6 p.m Thursday night and 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday night. West Pennsboro Fire Company is located at 20 Park Road in Plainfield PA.
Auto Accident Enola Road
Thursday, June 5th at 5:18 p.m. Engine 148 was dispatched to Enola Road between the 3050 block and 4000 block for a single vehicle auto accident into a pond. Crews arrived on the scene and stabilized the patient for transport. Fire police stayed to help direct traffic while the tow truck pulled the car out of the pond. Engine 148 was placed available at 6:04 p.m.
