October Meat Raffle
The next Meat Raffle is Friday, October, 7th at the Upper Frankford Fire Company. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The meal is free and includes Lasagna, Green Beans, and dessert. Come out and support your local fire department.
Smoke Detectors and Carbon Monoxide Detectors
If you live in our 1st due coverage area which consists of Upper Frankford Township, Lower Frankford Township or Lower Mifflin Township and you are in need of a Smoke Detector or a Carbon Monoxide Detector for your home please message us or call the Station at 717-776-7849.
Annual Fireman's Fair
Thursday, July 21st through Saturday, July 23rd The Upper Frankford Twp. Vol. Fire Co. will be having their annual Fireman's Fair. The Band Lineup; Thursday night: North Mountain Ramblers Friday night: Mid Life Crisis and Saturday night: Laredo. Food will be available at 4:00 p.m. Hope to see you there!
9/11 Museum and NYC Fire Museum Bus Trip
Saturday, September 24, 2016 The Upper Frankford Twp. Vol. Fire Company is hosting a Bus Trip to New York City. The trip will include stops at the 9/11 Museum, FDNY Fire Museum and Time on Your Own. Price: $84.00 per adult (18 – 64 years old) (If we get a full bus the price is $69.00 per adult) *reduced price for Senior (65+), Youth (13-17) and Child (12 & under)* Price includes: Round trip transportation to and from NYC, admission to the 9/11 Museum & Memorial and admission to the NYC Fire Museum. 7:00 am – Bus will depart from the Point Mall in Carlisle 10:00 am – Approximate arrival time in New York City. Admission to the 9/11 Museum is 10:30 am. We have 2 ½ hours to tour the Museum and Memorial at our leisure. 1:00 pm – Bus departs the Museum & Memorial and travels to the NYC Fire Museum. We will then have the rest of the day on our own. There are several Fire Companies within walking distance of the NYC Fire Museum, as well as other nearby sites. 5:00 pm – Bus departs for Carlisle, PA. 8:00 pm – Approximate arrival time at the Point Mall. Only 21 seats are available and all seats are on a first come first served basis based on when your email is received. For all others, they will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if seats open up. Transportation will be provided by D.B. Fisher Motor Coach
The Annual Super Raffle will be held Saturday, June 25th at the Eagle's Pinic Grounds in Carlisle. Tickets are $50.00 each and includes a steak and baked potato meal, all you can eat hotdogs and hamburgers, and choice of unlimited beverage. There are limited amount of tickets still available please contact the Upper Frankford Township Vol. Fire Company at 717.776.7849.
Monday, April 25th at 1801 Brush 48 and UTV 48 was dispatched to Ridge Road and Michaux Road to help assist on a mountain fire. UTV 48 was used for extinguishment of the mountain fire. UTV 48 and Brush 48 was placed in service at 2125.
Chicken / Rib BBQ
Saturday, April 9th The Upper Frankford Vol. Fire Company will be hosting their annual Chicken / Rib BBQ. The meal will include chicken or ribs, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, dinner roll, and a drink. We start serving at 10:00 a.m. until sold out. Prices are $10.00 for meal or $5.00 for half a chicken. Hope to see you there!
Shed Fire Grahams Woods Road
Saturday, April 9th at 1437 Engine 148 and Engine 248 was dispatched to Grahams Woods Road for a shed fire. The fire started on Side C of the structure then spread down Side C and throughout the entire building. Crews helped with extinguishment of the fire. Engine 148 and Engine 248 was placed available at 1710.
Benefit Breakfast for Andy Bobb
Saturday, April 2nd from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. there will be a Firefighters Benefit Breakfast held for Andy Bobb at the Friendship Hose Fire Company (Firehouse 47 at 15 E. Big Spring Ave. Newville, PA.) Breakfast is $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for children 8 and under. All proceeds go to the family to help with medical bills and other expenses. Andy was involved in a serious auto accident in February which resolved in a traumatic brain injury along with other serious medical problems. Andy has grown up in the fire service and is a member at the Newville Fire Department. His father currently serves as Deputy Fire Chief at Company 47 and his mother is an EMT at Company 47. Come out and support your local family.
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us in our last meat raffle in March until our fall meat raffles start. We look forward to seeing you at our Super Raffle on June 25th and our Annual Fireman's Fair held July 21st through July 23rd.
